Tick Bite Kit (both preventative and reactive)
Tick bites are really annoying and can be scary. Personally, I used to be dreadfully frightened of getting a tick bite and the unknowing effects afterwards. The more time I spent outside in our woods, I came to realize that ticks are just a part of the environment we live in, whether we like it or not.
And so I decided to arm myself with knowledge so that I can remain calm and act swiftly when a pesky bugger attaches itself to me or my family. And all of us (my husband, kids and myself) have had plenty of ticks over the years, with their head already embedded under our skin.
Having this kit on hand in your car, backpack or first aid kit will help you be prepared when you need it most.
Directions:
1. Stay calm. Once you've located the tick, and it is attached (meaning you can't brush it off), remain calm. Panicking will not help.
2. Use tick tweezers, or tick nippers, to carefully remove the tick, with the head intact. Sometimes I find this easier by putting a couple drops of Topical Tick Bite Formula on the tick to help it loosen. Once the tick is released, you may wish to save it in a glass jar for testing and identification later (personal preference).
3. Place 2-4 drops of the Topical Tick Bite formula onto the bite location and surrounding area. This powerful combination is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-borreliae.
4. Then sprinkle (just a pinch) of Herbal Bandage onto the bite and surrounding area to help draw out any remaining impurities/irritations. The Herbal Bandage will form a paste with the Topical Tick Bite Formula and will dry. Leave for 12-24 hours
5. Immune Kickstart Tincture: Take 2 droppers 2x a day for 7-10 days to help kickstart and support your immune system. This carefully, curated blend is meant to help modulate your immune system to reduce infection and inflammation while also cleansing your lymphatic system. This can also be taken 1x daily (1 dropper) during tick season to proactively reduce any tick-borne illnesses.
This is a custom created protocol for when a tick is attached to the skin.
The Immune Kickstart Tincture is NOT to be used during pregnancy or nursing.
